#whimsh 25 Write a POEM inspired by the following art ” Minotaur and Lamb” by @aloysius_son
For the people
The lamb silently waits-
Drugged and impotent,
Carefree and ambivalent-
As the predator ponders.
Is he beast or man?
Is it mercy or control
That motivates his plan?
The god eyes in the mountain look
Upon the scene -
An observer only.
The moon faces the day
Intent on his own concerns.
The decision rests solely
In the heart of a furry creature
For whom mercy may not
Even be a consideration.56. PAINT a portrait of someone. ( 7 pts) (44. For everything in this list you said to yourself you couldn’t do, do it twice. ( 10 pts)- there are two of them in there)
lips. from the devil. spawn said all the things that were correct. llo said the right thing. (probably not just because i did a better job with her)

The weekend is over. That is such a bummer.

for some reason i can’t see th epictures here, have little red x’s. i do like your poem.
@be_the_rain - shoot. i wanted you to see the 2nd picture. let me investigate.
@be_the_rain - i emailed it to you. feel better.
I love them both, the poem and the portrait.
Boy oh, you’re just some kind of crafty createy. I’m that guy who says, “It’s not a dog, it’s a horse”, so I’m always impressed by talent.
@songoftheheart - thank you, jo. i dared to post the portrait because of you.
@HappierHeathen -
i couldn’t draw a horse or a dog if you paid me. or threatened me with an ax.
An ax,,, I see… whatever was used to get you to do this, it worked. Nice job on this.
@vexations - it’s leah and her stinking challenges. i’ll do anything for points. apparently.
@promisesunshine - I can’t imagine circumstances in which I might threaten you with an ax. It’s not like I’m some kind of alien bear or something!
@HappierHeathen - and where is phil to know we’re making fun of him?
The poem and the picture are very good.
love love love the smile you captured in the portrait. all is awesome. you are charging through. ha. i have three done, but in fairness this clay thing is taking up a lot of time. which makes me also think the weekend ending is a bummer.
@anvilsandedelweiss - the needlepoint and the wearable art are quite the ponderings. and things that will take some time.
excellent work
Love the playful expressions in the portraits! Great job!!!
am back and still can’t see pics, so thank you for emailing it. (so must be my computer….again). ~ you can do *anything*, i’m convinced.
that is an adept rendition from the painting. and the portrait is all gushy and mommy/daughterish, and nice. it should be on your wall.
Splendidly done!
lea is right. you can do anything. so go ahead, make fun of me some more. you can do that too. you get special dispensation cuz you’re sweet.
get the picture?
Total class.
@ZSA_MD - thank you

@godfatherofgreenbay -
@murisopsis - it’s from a christmas photo a couple years ago- a favorite.
@plantinthewindow - spawn says she looks like “forever lonely”- i said the same thing before i knew his name. (it’s sisterly love)
@UncCharlie - thanks
@RestlessButterfly - thanks for saying so and your visit.
@complicatedlight - i can’t, i won’t any more, i’m not.
@promisesunshine - forever lonely? not sure I get the reference.
@plantinthewindow - oh, sorry. i thought i was the only one who didn’t know meme crap. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7lbznZgQj1roo3do.png
woot! these are both wonderful, although, forgive me, i lean towards the poem. i am so glad you are doing these, yes. (and i am meme ignorant, let me go look…)
@promisesunshine - ewww. that was strange. (ref. your meme
@Bels_Kaylar - no forgiveness necessary. silly. you’re a word girl, i think.
You have artistic talent in everything you do… I’m a bit jealous!
@BoulderChristina - i thank you. i wish i was as smart a thinker as you. it all evens out.
I love when you expose yourself! God…zilla! How I would love to step into your mind….and steal all of your ideas… and talent… and daughters and….well, you get the point! You must flash here more often.
@Kellsbella - hadn’t realized i wuz wearing a trench coat.
you give awesome compliments.
Well written and love the sketches.
@Grannys_Place - thanks so much.
Good Morning. I love your aesthetic talent–writing and painting.
I used to look forward to weekends, but that was when I had a career and was not a househusband.
frank
@ANVRSADDAY - you’re so sweet. there was a while when i preferred working to weekends. can you imagine? now it’s all good, truly. (i was more successful with the kids at school than the kids at home at that time.)
I am thinking some day we should have a Xanga artists get together, where artists from Xanga gather and we make some awesome art together… Maybe a giant mural or sculpture
@Aloysius_son - as long as you let me come watch, i’m all for it.
