chair and whining
I have a rather surprising collection of things going on in my head. Not the least of which is a truly epic headache which will not be coaxed out. Yippee. Yet none of the things in feel like coming out.
I believe that I can call this chair done. This has been keeping me out of trouble for a few days. I have two things to urethane now. How fun. Not.
And I need another chair.
My babies are both leaving tomorrow. One is going to find Jesus at Assateague Island with her high school group. The other is going to find massive spoilation with her grandparents. And I have the pleasure of going back to higher education on Monday. See me do dance of joy that my one entire lazy summer week is over.
I’m going to go curl up somewhere and read a book.

That chair is amazing. Kids get out of school for summer break here on the 17th, tomorrow. It seems stupid to me to make them go on a Monday.

@Grannys_Place - we’ve been out for a week and a day and a half. monday is ridiculous, but they gotta get in 180 days, right?

Well, I can help you out with the cheeeses. I do work at a Italian food ware house. And crackers imported from England. I’ll stick with a Guinness…
I’m so cheap, I drink wine with screw tops. Or wine in a box when I have a few dollars to spend…
There is a Trader Vics/Joes about 10 minute drive from here. Am waiting for Dollar Store to carry wine…

I saw things painted like that in the ’60s. I painted my fingernails like that.

Trader Joes has some okay wine. Mom bought some last time we were there, it was the tenth anniversary or something. Dunno if she drank it yet. I like your chair. I think you should give up whatever educational thing you are doing and paint chairs for people all summer. Enjoy the quiet while they’re away.

Can I help to drain the whiskey from the barrel before you paint it?

Cool chair! Jesus, and spoiling grandparents…. Now there’s a combination! My Sweetie is all into restoration of wood, staining, etc. He can have and do all he wants too, cuz I hate painting.

yes, for goodness sakes, paint chairs, sell same, this they are Really lovely. i am not sure what the whiskey barrel is for, but i bet you make good use of it. (my father uses them for the base of his fountains

I have a chair that I have been thinking of doing some art work on. I should go buy me some acrylics.

I saw some of your work before but you have surpassed yourself with that beautiful chair. I love the precise lines and colors that are crazily intense and yet are harmonious. And all this with your busy family life…bravo…

I don’t know how I missed this post! I love your chair! I tell you, you could make a fortune at one of those farmer’s markets or flea market places. We have a few around here, and artistic people such as yourself, seem to do quite well. You’re awfully creative! But, hey! If you don’t like money, I will happily agree to be your agent……for a percentage of your profit!

I love your creative artistic style of decorating. I loved the chair.
Summer goes quickly most of the time when you have kids.
I never went back to school. My married daughter with reading disability went to junior college and graduated. I was so proud of her—married, working, horrible home environment, and zero support–except from me, wife, and her sister.
