foody cinquain
twizzlers chewy candy a long deliciousness bite ends off and use as a straw yummy coffee required at dawn day is broken without several cups of consciousness A.I.Ok. that’s all I got. Maybe I’ll add to the theme tomorrow. But I’m fried right now. I got the cutest book out of the school library. It’s called A Kick in the Head and is a poetry forms book for kids. It’s illustrated by Chris Raschka who does some pretty colorful wacky stuff. So I like him. He also happens to have been a visiting author a couple years ago. I have another poetry book he at least illustrated, if not wrote- I can’t remember and it’s too far away up those stairs. Anyhow that one is called A Poke in the Eye. I certainly enjoy the violence of the companion books. Why not encourage head kicking and eye poking… poetically.

ah, yeah. twizzlers and coffee. the other day a woman in the coffee house walked out to her car and came back in with a big bag of twizzlers and a grin on her face, and went back to her table and resumed studying.
and this is a good poem, too. : )
@plantinthewindow - you betcha. both items that will cure what ails ya.
@promisesunshine - or rake your liver.
Sometimes I want to poke an eye after I kick a head, but not before.
@plantinthewindow - mm kay. that’s nice.
@BoulderChristina - need the eye down where you can reach it easily?
@promisesunshine - How did you know I was so short?
now all I can think about is Twizzlers
Rats, that reminds me that I never did finish my sandwhich ode. Also that I have never learned to spell sandwich.
no one is really happy unless eyes are getting poked out. and for some it takes a kick in the head to realize it.
You say Twizzlers, I say Bottlecaps. A strong cup of coffee with a touch of Clover Honey… Keep up the good work on writing…
I like twizzlers on occassion. And I can NOT do without my coffee in the morning!
@longshadow618 - that was a good chuckle to start my day.
@lanney - which wich for the sandwich.
@godfatherofgreenbay - you’re welcome.
@armnatmom - need some right this second.
@Zoz36 - yum. bottlecaps. i’d have to share those. the children like them too. and they always steal the rootbeer and coke and leave me with the orange and grape. and now i want a fireball.
I am a freak. I do not like twizzlers, tried once and almost gagged. Never drink coffee of tea. I wake up and after my meditations and early morning prayers, i drink some cold water. Every one else at home here and in India, always had tea!
yeah, i know, i am a freak.
Like the tasty brevity of your poem sunshine!
@ZSA_MD - the morning water would certainly be healthier. it’s not like the coffee does a thing for me. i can drink leaded coffee at midnight and go to sleep at 12:05.
i can see how twizzlers may not appeal to everyone. they bring fond memories of beach trips and giggling with friends.
I love cinquains! and poetry! and I plan on being an elementary school teacher so I definitely want to check out those poetry form books for kids!
Good job there young lady.
