#WinterSH 23 False Azure
respond to/associate with: I was the shadow of the waxwing slain by the false azure of the windowpane. I was a smudge of ashen fluff and I loved on, flew on in the reflected sky.
False Azure again and again I push against the glass desperate for you to see me why don’t you see me why am I am nothing I feel like I am there I mean here pushing against the glass I see you, hear you, know you, but not well enough because again and again I push against the glass and you don’t see me.
until the wind brushes against my wings and I find that I don’t need you to see me anymore I have someplace to fly.

yowza…I could have written this…which is not altogether good.
this is beautiful, and true. sometimes we think we have nowhere to fly, and there’s a whole universe of places to go. I know it’s happened to me. it’s a matter of perspective.
@ordinarybutloud - so many reasons to be unseen. sometimes we don’t want to be. sometimes there’s a reason for it beyond our control. @plantinthewindow - a matter of perspective. yup. you have no idea the irony of that statement.
@promisesunshine - yes. I do.
Insecure people define their entire existence in terms of people who totally do not deserve to be their gods.
I like this a lot! I read it aloud and then sighed and nodded. I understand it.
You’re doing such a good job on your writing for your SH. Are you finding yourself getting a lot of feelings out in your writing?
HUGS!
@Roadkill_Spatula - Wow. That is very profound. Something I need to ponder.
@Roadkill_Spatula - yep.
@AdamsWomanFell - yea. i’ll take that hug, as always. i love that you read aloud my poems. i call that a prime compliment. @Roadkill_Spatula - nobody over here looking for a god. @plantinthewindow - i feel like you do.
I like this, and what J says about perspective. It shows that well .
@OfFruitandBrightWing - thanks. he’s smart, that one.

Wow! I usually read a lot of the poems on Xanga going “yeah, OK, it’s predictable” yawn, but this one had a great twist! Thanks for the surprise, very well written, I also like the moral of the story, or it’s essence.
@DivaJyoti - well, thank you. i have to say i don’t quite know where things are going when i start to write. so the ending was a surprise to me as well.
