pleasant valley sunday
making a list (and not checking it twice) of why today doesn’t suck
1. it is a very pretty day. i liked how the fog was hanging on the top of the mountains and that it burned away while i was wasting gas. not that this photo is of either fog or mountains. still it’s a pretty day.
2. i actually accomplished some tedious things this weekend.
3. pumpkin spice coffee is tasty stuff.
4. my girlie had fun at her first high school dance and she didn’t dance with any boys.
5. nobody has ever perished from giving a presentation or writing a paper.
6. i finally figured out the psychoninjamicrokitten is bugging the crap out of me at night because she misses her litter mates.
7. it’s not november yet.
8. i have every right to do something today that doesn’t have to be done. like a picnic.
9. my little anti-library kid expressed an interest in going to the best place on earth.
10. monkees.

Glad to hear that today doesn’t suck. Sorry to hear about the forgetfulness you wrote about previously. Not a good thing….. perhaps you might want to see someone about it.
@vexations - when i get too much in my head, it just leaks out. i recognized everyone i spoke to the rest of the weekend.
do you ever have to talk yourself into a better mood, or i am just crazy?
i like this list. very much. i especially like #8. ~
oohhhhh, and the pics. they are key. to the overall…mood,, of a fall day. up there. where you are.
@be_the_rain - give me your real life address, lea, and i’ll send you a leaf.
we have several to spare.
i’ll go for #1, 5, & 10!! we are having a wondermush day … about to jump into it headfirst!!
@windupherskirt - yahoo! but what is wondermush?
@promisesunshine - my kind of wonderful …
sounds like a nice day
@buddy71 - yup
Today doesn’t suck for me either! I got FOUR tedious things done today. I only have two tedious things left to do tonight, not including dinner. So yay.
@ordinarybutloud - hooray!! i have one more tedious thing i must do and a not exactly tedious thing that i’m almost finished with. so, yea, it’s been a good day. but i still don’t want the weekend to be over.
I doubt you are crazy but the loss of memory was my real concern. I guess I am more concerned about two friends who are losing memories. One wants to talk but can’t remember the words she wants to say. @promisesunshine -
@vexations - it’s no laughing matter to lose memory. i think the problem was that i was freezing cold and it was dusk. frozen brain, bad eyeballs not a good combination for recognizing faces. you’re awfully nice to worry. (and i really am a little bit crazy) sorry for your friends.
I introduced my kids to the Monkees some years ago and was delighted that they became fans. Also of Herman’s Hermits.
@Roadkill_Spatula - isn’t it great? my kids like journey and queen too. in turn they introduced me to lady gaga.
