attributed to Pooh in Winnie-the-Pooh on Problem Solving In which Pooh, Piglet and friends explore How to Solve Problems so you can too.  I think this is genius.  That quote.  My beginnings ALWAYS start before I’m ready for them.  Ha.  This book is hilarious.  I found it in the library when I didn’t believe that the book I wanted to check out of the library was really lost.  I thought maybe if I looked exactly where it should be, that I would find it.  How surprising that it wasn’t there.  But I took the opportunity to wonder about my logic and to wander through the shelves.  I found this gem and I was happy.  What I have learned so far. a)  AA (as in AA Milne) stands for Alan Alexander. b)problem solving can be achieved through the use of one of those stupid heuristics acronym things that annoy to pooh out of me. c) I can read about stupid acronym things if my friends Pooh and Piglet and Eeyore are talking to me.

2. I think I’ve become possessed by a zombie.

3. Spawn and I sang “Cat’s in the Cradle” while we were walking down the sidewalk.  This was the only communication she and I had all day.  That girl was surly.

4. LLO went to canoeing camp today and didn’t get kicked out.  If I understood correctly, tomorrow they are canoeing from the park that is near(ish) where we live to a state park that is 30 minutes away by car.  For ice cream.  Yea.  I have no idea what else to think about that.

5. I have so much I need to read tonight and I can’t focus and/or keep my eyes open.

6.  I’m looking forward to July 4th.  I get to be lazy, and I get to have fun.  This is a joyous thing.  And we have the 4th best fireworks in the country (depending where you look for a list).  Eat your heart out.

9. Still contemplating 3 things.  Spouseman thinks that #2 is crazy.  I think it’s a great idea.  Which probably means that it is crazy. He thought #3 was crazier until I said it would include all of us.  Go figure.

Good morning!  I’m looking for opinions, believe it or not.  I usually like to avoid having them/sharing them/and so on.  Here I am asking for yours. 

One of the things I’d like to accomplish this year is submitting a poem(s) for publication.  Notice I didn’t say get published.  Because.  Well, because.  The places where I’ve done my itty bitty research usually say that the work cannot have been previously published- some kinda spell out that places like Xanga count as publishing.  Naturally, my powerful need for pats on the head and my inability to work on something for any length of time, make this complicated somewhat.  Can I really wait umpdity bump weeks/months/eons to see if someone out there likes something I’ve said?  I’m not sure that I can.  However, I don’t want to be a cheater pants either.  My honesty is what I have.  Dilemma, boys and girls.

Here’s my thought.  What if I take things that I have already written (I have two in mind right now), join them as a cohesive unit, and add more to it?  Does this make the whole shebang previously unpublished?  Or does it make me a politician?
