teacups for you
Can’t do anything more clever today. But I found this funny little poem style called a “teacup dictionary” which gave me the opportunity to read the dictionary. So I took that opportunity and give you these just because. It’s all about syllables. I can count most of the time.

This little gem is not mine. We did acrostics at camp today. The boy who we thought (two weeks ago) didn’t speak any English wrote this one. I giggled.Snake does

So how does one write a “teacup dictionary” poem?
And I like that acrostic. Anything mentioning kangaroos automatically wins.
@Cestovatelka - here’s where i found the destructions http://www.poetrydances.com/teacup_dictionary.php isn’t that acrostic a riot? i snorted. guffawed. snickered. funny kid.
@Cestovatelka - easy peasy lemon squeezy. you do one?
Ahhhhh okay. I don’t have my humongous dictionary near me at the moment, but when I dig it out I’ll try my hand at these. My brain is too much like mud to think of all those words haha
I like both of these. : )
I like to write acrostics. I posted one here on Xanga but I don’t think people saw it as an acrostic but rather a cry for help
so cute!
Interesting poem style.
These made me smile:)
@Grannys_Place - i’m so glad!!
@Shining_Garnet - there appears to be a poem style for every occasion. i love that.
@lanney - yes, you are.
@godfatherofgreenbay - coming over to look. i think acrostics are fun.
@plantinthewindow - thank you, kind sir.
Neato. I’ve never heard of tea cup poems. They’re fun. I like the acrostic too.
That acrostic is very clever! How old is the camper? How old are your campers in general?
@anvilsandedelweiss - fun and easy.
@DMMeyer - we think this kid is 9. he goes to school in korea. the kids in my group are from 7-9. it’s reading camp. my next gig is art camp and that’s a wide age range but under 12
well I’ll help you out, here it is.
@godfatherofgreenbay - thank you. i didn’t find it. and then i forgot because everything goes in my head and then out. speaking of which, i’m very glad you mentioned it was an acrostic. otherwise i would have thought it was just a deep poem somewhat saddish. but instead it is… about that. and now i feel inspired to make a suitably interesting acrostic. anyhow. i liked it very much.
Snake poem rocks…
@vexations - isn’t that a hoot?
Very creative Adorable acrostic
Your teacup poem is funny and cute. I like the one with the longness. They seem very you. Also I like the acrostic.
@leaflesstree - the longness one is my favorite too. that acrostic cracks me up every time i see it.
@xdeelynnx - thanks for the rec for my silliness. and this ^
That’s adorable!
And I’ll bet you pick up a Thesaurus and read it just for fun also. (I do)
@curiousdwk - (doesn’t everyone?)
@angelwingfive - thank you.
