windows and doors
a window depends on how you’re looking as to what you see and how you see it sometimes the view is beautiful sometimes it’s more beautiful than you think sometimes the eyes see only smudges sometimes the myriad colors of the prism as light reflects but a door may seem closed blocking, trapping, keeping in or out yet a brave turn of the knob and you can walk out run into the truth you can’t run through a window without shattering

Profound. Deep. I love the photo!
truth can shatter you, too. I like the proximity there.
@lanney - of course it can. but it’s better through the door.
@murisopsis - LLO said, “oooh, psychelic”
wow…love this!
Wonderful!
Nice job with the words and the photo!
Now, if the window’s open……..
Lovely
Just remember to clean the winows every once in a while…
simple truths. i like that.
Of course if I run into a window I am more likely to just bounce off…
Beautifully stated and with great metaphors. (not a drug)

A window opens to the outside to allow the beauty to come in:)

@Donkey_Guy_10 - it’s my brilliance. snort. guffaw. *going to check out what it’s like at the top. (top blogs is really an interesting little game)
Love flies out the door when money comes innuendo.
@we_deny_everything - clever words of wisdom. i never have money coming in the window.
Doors have no desire to move,
But people don’t stand still.
The door stands between things,
between freedom and being enclosed sometimes.
The door between rooms,
Is symbolic of privacy and openness.
The door to the mind,
often made up or symbollically closed.
Put to rest the door to evil,
Open up the door to generousity and good.
Try as hard as you can to close the door to the past,
It will open more times than not, fickle as a cat.
Ewan McGregor can.
@PPhilip - fickle as a cat. you’ve said a lot more than i did. you’ve probably said what i was trying to say, in fact. some doors shouldn’t be opened. shut tight, locked, bolted. with a chain and paper taped over the window.
windows don’t desire to be looked through either.
@onestepcloserto_perfection - did he have the force with him at the time?
@promisesunshine - No. He went through a wall in “The Men Who Stare At Goats”. I think that was him anyways…but…the way I figure it? Why should a window be different than a wall? He got this.
Although it’s kinda of humorous…they called themselves “Jedi Warriors” in TMWSAG too. I think. Or Jedi something.
@onestepcloserto_perfection - i have no earthly idea what you are talking about. will google when my brain returns from its holiday.
@promisesunshine - haha. I said “kinda of”. That made the whole thing more difficult than it needed to be.
You should watch it.
don’t open neither the door nor the window if you cant follow through..
Windows and doors
ceilings and floors
trap me in
Cellars and stores
widows and wars
never win
Shatter the glass
and bust my ass
we begin
Unlock the knob
let your heart throb
it’s a sin
Beaches and shores
ditches and moors
quell the din
Color that pours
lion that roars
caged has been
Aw heck I am starting to make nonsense….
I like your poem.
@Aloysius_son - i like yours better. i need to go to the beach. in such a bad way.
