Sunday stuff
Weekend time really goes much faster than other time. Very annoying.
Today I learned how to change the battery in my phone. It was not really that hard. It is actually easy. I am suddenly self-sufficient with my phone technology.
I think I’ve just about finished my footstool. Still deciding if it needs just a little bit of something before I start urethaning.

I sat in my wonder chair today (and am going back outside to do that some more in a minute). While I was there I finished a crochet project. Now I just have to figure out what I’m going to do with it.
LLO and I had a difference of opinion today. She showed her displeasure by hiding in her room all afternoon. I showed my displeasure by having time to mow the grass so that I could enjoy sitting on my heiney in the sunshine. I’m not exactly seeing a downside to our disagreement.
Today was the last Sunday School class until fall. I’m not sorry. I’m quite ready to be done with one more thing. I am going to miss the kid I did the word search race with. Seriously bright kid. He was in my real school class last year. I was getting ready to read them a story today and he wanted to know what page it was. I told him and he told me the book of the Bible. He got this Bible last Sunday. When they passed out brains, he got in line twice (and he’s adorable.)
I cleaned a bathroom so I feel like a rockstar. It wasn’t the hideous one. But considering I dreamed that I cleaned above the fridge, I call that enough housework for one day.
Played catch with LLO and spouseman. She’s getting better.
Piano recital. Egads. Painful but brief. At least LLO is done with lessons until fall. Spawn has more because we’ve had trouble getting there. I kept forgetting she had a lesson and she prefers not to know (and refuses to walk the 4 freaking blocks if I’m not home to take her.) I think perhaps I shall file this under “not my problem”.
I think that’s pretty much a full report. It sure was a beautiful day. I don’t really want to look at a rainy Monday.

It sounds like quite a good day. I worked this morning, then had a wonderful salad lunch and now I think I am actually prepared for the coming week.
Speaking of kids on acid, what were you on when you painted that? I like it, it’s great and I know it’ll look even better after you get done urinat er urethaning all over it.
@runisom48 - high on life, baby. it’ll be shiny.
@lanney - i’m not prepared, but i never am.
I love the stool
It’s very colorful. Sounds like you had a somewhat busy day…I’m not looking forward to a rainy Monday either.
I really Love your use of colors and the designs! I would proudly display an art object like that in my home!!!
I love how that turned out! Laughing at dreaming of cleaning…yep, more than enough housework! Good report! Carry on!
It feels good when you get so many things done… Hope LLO is over her mad. I do love the look of the footstool!
interesting. you should sit in your fancy chair in the rain with a tent over you. it would be cool. or a tarp.
your stool needs fuck painted on it. it needs something. that would do it.
I like the footstool, looks like it’ll go good with the chair. It was great weather this whole weekend. I don’t much mind the rain Monday to Friday if I have to work, as long as the weekend is nice. Top of the fridge cleaning? Oh dear, no, I’m not going there. Bathroom is enough for me, thank you very much.
@Aloysius_son - wow. thanks.
@xdeelynnx - the days seem more productive when i list every little thing.
@songoftheheart - yea, i’m pretty happy with it too.
@murisopsis - absolutely. over her mad. until next time.
@plantinthewindow - i do have one of those tent things. perhaps i will do that. spawn asked me today if i had question marks on the chair and why. i do not believe i will add words. thanks.
@leaflesstree - still haven’t actually cleaned top of fridge. all kinds of who knows what up there. it does go with chair. same colors. LLO wanted to know when i was starting the other chair. really, people. gimme a second.
What Aloysius_son said! He always says what I was going to say! His mouth is just faster than mine!
@Donkey_Guy_10 - yes, but yours is animated.
thanks also to you.
Oh! But I don’t let woodpeckers take pictures of me naked in the woods – like Aloysius_son!
@Donkey_Guy_10 - yea. good point. how DID he get the nekkid pix.
Love the stool!
You are so full of energy ( the useful kind and not the restless kind like mine)
@awoolham - i have plenty of the restless kind. sometimes i win.
Glad you enjoyed your disagreement and the rest of your weekend.
@Cancerous_Sagittarius - i appreciated the results of the disagreement. conversation was not pleasant. but thanks. hope you did too. enjoy your weekend, that is. not had an argument.
I often get along better with people too when they are in a different room. Must investigate. I hope you use that footstool in bare feet, otherwise who knows had might evolve! I feel like a rockstar when I change a lightbulb.
@vexations - i don’t know where the lightbulbs are. i’m thinking about painting the back door. i wonder if i will.
Sounds like a marvelous day even if LLO was having a bit of an off day. I love your foot stool. So much color. It will look great where ever you chose to put it. You have some interesting talents, my dear. Way to go. Have a wonderful week ahead!
“When they passed out brains, he got in line twice.” That’s a child to keep an eye on, definitely.
I’m pea-green with envy! You can paint, crochet, AND change a phone battery? I’m still trying to figure out how to check messages!
Your daughters wil one day thank you for the piano lessons. Trust me.
You have so much artistic talent. I loved the mufti-colored and designed stool. We never had a break for teaching or serving in church when we were active. It got to be very tiresome at times even though the kids were really fun. I had many happy memories leading Children Church.
This is so much fun, guessing who is who.
LLO is your teenage daughter. You are the mom. Did I get it?
@soccerdadforlife - close. LLO (which stands for little loud one) is the 11 year old who acts like a teen. Spawn is the teen who acts like a four year old. thanks for playing.
@ANVRSADDAY - i have to have my heathen summers. otherwise my head explodes and that takes out innocent bystanders (and not so innocent ones too.) thank for the nice compliment, frank.
@Kellsbella - check phone messages?? still working on that. my phone is for taking pictures, playing games and checking the time.
@RighteousBruin - i think so. i’ll be saying “i knew him when…” at some point.
@MzSilver - it always could be worse with that girl. so i’m grateful for the good day.
Such great talent! I would like to do something like that. I have an old wooden chair that is painted white. May be I can do colors on it.
My morning was busy, I took a dear friend to see the orthopedic surgeon. She has spinal stenosis and needs surgery. Got home and had a piece of quiche. yum.
@ZSA_MD - definitely do that. i hope your friend sails through surgery. yum. quiche.
Your footstool = beautiful.
Piano recitals = the worst hell on this earth.
@onestepcloserto_perfection - thanks. our piano teacher is notorious for having piano recitals where NO ONE is ready with anything. this one was no exception.
@promisesunshine - Piano recital talk is giving my nightmares.
