tacky
Somebody asked me what I was going to burn today. Paper is what I burned. Ha. Some random junk and a big envelope full of paperwork I was supposed to do at the beginning of the school. I figured if I hadn’t done it yet and nobody seemed to care that this fell under the “screw it” category. Woosh.
In other purge news, I went through a drawer the other day. I was looking for something I wanted but didn’t find there but instead found something I don’t want. I stitched this tacky heart thing a long time ago, even bought a frame for it, and it’s been sitting in this drawer for quite a while. Could be years. Actually is years. The question would be how many. The answer is lots. Fascinating, isn’t it? Anyhow. There’s something about it. I don’t even know what. I like green and purple and hearts. But I just don’t like this thing. And I can’t think of any (sucker) one who would. I would love to gift it. I’ve been coming up empty for years on who. I’m kinda hoping that the answer will come to me just by sticking it here.

Still waiting. Oh well.
That’s all I got for purge. Some days are more purposeful than others.

How……interesting……..that you stitched it and all. I can’t stitch. But it has te look of something someone would like. So many things are like tat, you know? Oh iPad. How I despise your inaccurate keyboard.
That heart doesn’t seem so bad. Maybe it’s my exhaustion talking.
Glad the purging is help a bit.
OMG and how some days are more purposeful than others. Today the most I could manage was sleeping in too late, dusting the house and making dinner (I must have really guilty as we had 2 huge porterhouse steaks, broc, sweet potato sitck fries).
I think it is quite attractive. Might I suggest framing it and giving it to a nearby nursing home or rehab center. They are always looking for hopeful comfort crafts… Just a thought…
can i make an onerous suggestion? make fiftyish more and then you have a bootiful quilt?
as such makes for a quilt pattern you’ll know the joke in an instant….. heheheh I know I know what possible chance is there to make that happen may 15th tends to interrupt work over disposing of a lil heart. I like it as is and yet it can be so much more
I’ll still be your sucker.

I have no idea why with stores forever around me that this is a stitch and bitch mecca but Canada is. in a few of my armchair adventure travel ideas I ran across collecting the stitch and bitch prizes. along with red fife organic wheat pancakes? and perhaps some serious east fredericton maple syrup? perhaps a light bison lunchmaple rum glazed chicken dinner for the winner? a few mai tais by the pool and take in a lake stroll? that’s long enough to pack a picnic and considering your location.. perhaps some canados? ah remember though this is a big wind up
I think it’s a nice stitching.
i would love to have your heart
after all, you’ve had mine so long
the idea of all that burning is really making the pyromaniac in my froth at the mouth
Ah! I think it’s uber fun to be looking for something and then find something else by surprise! I love your heart! It is stitchery beautiful!
I think you should frame it and share it with someone as a surprise gift. Like hide it in their desk, or in their underpants drawer, or lean it up against their door, or ??? Share the love with someone who is not expecting it!!! It’s fun to do that!!!
Purposeful HUGS!!!
@starmanjones - You directed me here to read your paragraph comment. Ha! You and your links! And I’m not taking about sausages!
Now I wanna’ sew a quilt whilst I eat pancakes!
@adamswomanback -
That almost sounds like spring cleaning.
It is kind of tacky, ornate I think is the word I’d use. Kinda fancy looking for me. But I’d feel bad throwing away something I spent so much time on, even if I didn’t like the end result. Maybe a donation is in order.
Yay Purging!!!
@olwd - cleaning?? that’s a 4 letter word. besides i need to be relocating a lot more than 2 things a day.
how am i supposed to be serious at all when you make suggestions like that? giggly hugs!
@Thatslifekid - i’m so lazy this week. i’ll be more purposefully purgeful next week. how’s your project going?
@leaflesstree - yea.
@adamswomanback - hide in their underpants drawer.
@godfatherofgreenbay - i know, right? what am i gonna burn tonight? ooh. i just had a great idea. burn baby burn, disco inferno
@longshadow618 -
@TheSutraDude - thank you
@starmanjones - you’ve broken my head. again. but i will look at the quilt link in a min.
@Parker_Texas - that’s a very good thought. thank you.
@GoneRetired - dinner sounds fabulous. i’m on strike this week. i think it might be because i have to visit my in-laws this weekend.
@FlutterSkye - it feels good to let go of things.
@ordinarybutloud - it makes me think of mardi gras. but surely somebody won’t hate it.
Uhm, cleaning has a bit more than four letters dear. But you knew when you said “4-letter” that I’d catch that and say something, didn’t you?
@olwd - and then i’d have to make a comment about how i’d much rather do that than clean. but really, who wouldn’t.
@promisesunshine - Its going well I have things to get rid of (clothes for this week) I just need to take pictures before they go away.
much rather talk? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
@olwd - that too.
Make it into an envelope and stuff it with neat things and give it to your daughter for her birthday…”from my heart”! I am sure she will cherish it.
@ZSA_MD - that is a fine idea, zakiah. let me ponder that some more.
If you had an army I could join it and wear that chevron on my sleeve. How is that for a purpose?
I bet that heart would sell at a church bazaar. I like it.
@vexations - i don’t need an army.
@JstNotherDay - a good suggestion.
Nicely executed heart but it does look a little dated (early to mid 80′s?).
Stoppin’ in with HUGS for ThrustDay!!!
@promisesunshine - You’re welcome!
You can always count on me to make weird, silly, or naughty suggestions!
