stone
As I explained to Spawn and Spouseman where I was going with this, they did completely synchronized head bobbing. You know what that means.

#wintsh A piece inspired by the following piece of art by Carolyn Coalson “Traveling into green as far as I can go”
I made sure to tell LittleLoudOne in different words. She doesn’t participate in synchronized head bobs. Here’s the part where I tell you what was in my head (which as usual is not how it came out. Nonetheless…) In the green thing, I see stalactites in a cave. Caves are made of rock and stalactites are formed by water dripping. So… the chick is supposed to look stone-ish. (not necessarily stoned)
The stoned chick is fretting. This too shall pass.

I like stalactites. I want to go see caves again.
Different people require different explanations. It’s good you can adjust, even if no one understands in quite the way you want them to understand.
Your description of your art matches exactly what I thought and felt when I first saw it.
Great job!
@Marica0701 - you have made my night completely!! thanks!!
@lanney - i really like caves. there are 3 within an hour of me. if you come this way again, we will go on a tour. except for the lame one in a boat. we can skip that one. also there are caves in virginia too.
I hope we get to do that.
Interesting interpretation. I don’t think I would have thought caves (I’m claustrophobic) but I see where you came up with it.
Getting stoned prevents fretting. She, stone chick, looks like she could stand some of that. A doobie and a bowl of ice cream.
the *eyes* are so specific….and what does this remind me of….something very much into my subconscious…maybe a dream, but i think something else. colors are amazing, love. happierheathen has some good advice, imho. : ) (i’m seeing the first photo of your painting only, here). silly computer won’t show me the second one. eventually, i hope. <3
@HappierHeathen - stone chick has neither a doobie nor ice cream available to her. but she will smile thinking about it. and there’s always whatever the heck this is over ice cubes.
@be_the_rain - <3
@leaflesstree - cool
oh, my. i am suddenly way over there with our happier heathen. because. she looks so sad. oxoooooooooooooooooooooo
Nice! I can completely see where you were going with this!! Love the water works!
I’m bobbing my bobble-head!
Excellent! Love the connection of water/tears forming stalactites…and stone. I think sometimes, if we are not careful, negative emotions can turn us/our hearts to stone. Sad.
GREAT interpretation and GREAT artwork!!!
HUGS!!!
She does look stone-ish. Nice.
@adamswomanback - i think your bobble head means something different than spouse and spawn.
thanks!! hugs right back.
@C_L_O_G - thanks.
@murisopsis - cool! thank you.
Nicely done.
Did you do these LLO Mum?
I should have paid attention in science classes. I see emotion – - hope lurking behind sadness.
@olwd - ? the stone is mine.
@armnatmom - thanks!
@vexations - we all should have paid attention in science.
YOU ROCK!!!! hehehe
@olwd - snort
heheheeeeeeeee, I don’t think there is another person that can *snort* like you and make me giggle.
@olwd - and you can’t even hear it. imagine the damage i could do with audibles.
*HANDS OVER EARS* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, spare me I bbeeeeeeeeegggg you!!!!
there needs to be a bobble head emoticon…just sayin
Has anyone told you today that you are beautiful?!
Well, you are!!!
