daylight saving time
Not good. No alarm set this morning. Which I didn’t know. Also it’s not usually a problem. I’m an early riser. At least the clock was set to the right time, so that I knew when it said 8:00 that it was actually 8:00. And not 9:00. Or is it the other way? I still get it confused. Anyhow.
8:00 was bad. Because the things I didn’t do for this morning last night still had to be done and Spawn needed to be there at 8:30 and I needed to be there at 8:45. Panic ensued. And other scary things. Because panic required “mechanical” laughter. That’s what I called it. And I nearly brushed my teeth with hand soap. Lavender. Yummy. And then I told Spouseman that he should raze his face. Seriously. Why do you shave with a razor.
It wasn’t just me. ‘Cause when Spouseman dropped me off (10 minutes late), he forgot to wait for me to get completely out of the car before starting to drive off. Naturally that made me laugh too. Mechanically.
When I got home finally a long time later, I took a big honking nap. Awoke in time to not look stoned when the cops knocked on the door. (big naps make me stupid) But that’s another story.
I feel like I lost a lot more than an hour this weekend.
That’s not a deep statement. Just that I don’t know where the weekend went.
Yesterday was beautiful. Or maybe this was Friday afternoon.

That’s a crazy ass Sunday story! I love your mechanical laughter.. I bet it makes everybody afraid
I know I get to go to bed an hour early, but getting up an hour earlier this morning made me sleep through some of church.
This one-hour-lost crapola needs to end. Blah.
@HUMOR_ME_NOW - i couldn’t sleep in church today. i was liturging. i had to be alert and all kinds of sh.
@Marica0701 - i do not have enough hours left to lose a single one.
@BoulderChristina - everyone runs in terror when i start the mechanical laughter.
my giggles are scary enough.
I am not good in the morning, either. It takes me hours to wake up completely. I have done my best to get afternoon jobs, but if you are the mother of school aged children there really is no choice but to get up.. I remember those years and you have my sympathies, for sure. Looks like a gorgeous day. Here, too this weekend. And warm. AND it stayed light so late, today. Sugaring has commenced. the snow is starting to melt. the road will be a mud hole in the morning. Yeah. Life is good.
Looks like a beautiful day in the photo and like you, I feel like I lost more than an hour.
The weekend did go really fast. And it was really nice out today.
I don’t get the purpose but even more I don’t get why they continually tinker with when it is.
Cop finally got you I see. Seriously I hope all is okay and that you get up on time tomorrow.
Lovely photo. We need to stop the dst all together now, like other states already have.
@armnatmom - i’ll have to pay attention to sundown today. make it worthwhile.
@vexations - i’m up. miss you.
@godfatherofgreenbay - i think i like that they start it later now. or end it. whichever the nov thing is. i really am confused. losing an hour didn’t help with that.
@Shining_Garnet - woke up this morning remembering all the things i needed to do but didn’t. happy freaking monday to me.
@Grannys_Place - sigh. there it is.
Heehehe. Oh, excuse me. Hope the rest of your week goes better. I hate DST. We skpped church, and just went for Sunday School which starts over an hour later.
@ata_grandma - i would have done the same, but events conspired against me.
LOL, you are funny girl! Mechanical laugh? Is that like OH HA HA, or more mechanical like your mouth is moving but not to the appropriate tempo as the sound coming from it? LOL That is confusing as it is.
Hope tomorrow is better dear. hehe
gain an hour or lose an hour the weekends are never long enough…I never take naps, just so I won’t look stoned when the cops come
@olwd - i meant to say maniacal. it came out mechanical. either way. it’s scary, huh?
@mlbncsga - some days i can’t make it through the day without one. today. for example. i’m a hazard.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, yep, that is scary. LOL
I know the feeling. Enjoyed the post.
Parts of this got some snorts outa’ me.

EW! on the almost brushing teeth with hand soap!!!
I hope your Lost Weekend is not a prelude to what your week is gonna’ be like!!! :-O
HUGS!!!
Hahah – I wondered about the mechanical laugh too… now maniacal… I get that. lol
I could get mechanical too though… that stiff sort of ‘don’t mess with me’ kind of laugh.
@adamswomanback - monday was every bit so. i’m hoping tuesday aims itself in the right direction.
@JstNotherDay - i had a terrible time with my tongue today. and the brain. but that’s usual.
