to do list
I’m compiling a list of the things I want to do starting exactly then when I can.
- refinish the kitchen table which i have completely trashed with the assorted stuff i do at that table
- figure out how to fix the porcelain in what used to be a nice kitchen sink
- read a book every week
- go roller skating
- finish something
- figure out how to turn off the random commercials that start playing on the computer randomly
- write a poem worthy of publication in some random magazine
- read a book every week. from start to finish.
- OH MY GOSH! teach spawn to drive.
- drink a lot
- read all the books i collected last year
- paint on a canvas
- get rid of stuff
- play more games
- go to parties willingly
- finish that bench i started painting in may-ish
- grow a plant
- figure out how to turn the tv on
- reacquaint my children with nagging mother
- figure out how i get to the beach this summer
- inherit a small fortune
- grow a pineapple
- crochet a tree cozy
ok. that should about do it.

I like that you have “read a book every week” and then “read a book every week from start to finish.” LOL!
First inherit the small fortune and all the other To Do List items are done automatically.
@songoftheheart - i really, really, really want to read a book from cover to cover and know what it was about when i get to the end.
@ANVRSADDAY - and that’s the least likely thing on that list.
i like the “finish something” part. I know a few people who forget that all-important thing. Is it possible to fix a porcelain sink? My current apartment and my previous apartment have stainless steel sinks. I’m not sure what I would choose if it was up to me.
Sigh, where are those rich spinster relatives when you need them/?

I’m curious about the bench, I bet it’d look awesome, so share pics when you finish it
@leaflesstree - i chose porcelain. i’m not sure i’d choose it again. it’s perpetually coffee stained and it’s cracked and scratched. very disappointing. i was hoping roadkill would tell me where to look. but i can google. just not today.

very cool about pedro’s job. spawn thinks she wants a job too.

@armnatmom - there’s not one ounce of stress on this list. i’ve used up all my stress in the last month.
@godfatherofgreenbay - get my name on a tv show. hmmm. i like that. maybe the news. i’ll have to think about adding that.

I love roller skating. It’s been so long since I’ve been. My skates are collecting dust.
If you just drink a lot, you won’t be bothered by all that other stuff. That would be my choice.
@runisom48 - No, it would not. Besides, I’m excited about doing most of the things on this list. My time has not been my choice at all for many,many months.
@boxedwine - i usually go once a year. i think one of my kids wants her b-day party there.

It would be cool if we were neighbors. Some of these would be fun to do together… Except maybe teaching spawn to drive…

hey, i know you’re just after my small fortune. also, i think i’d do more than one canvas if we were neighbors. oh my gosh. i really have to teach somebody how to drive. what was i thinking.
It’s lists like that that take centuries to complete.

@plantinthewindow - i’ve seriously been thinking of this for years. a completely purposeless decoration around the trunk of my old dogwood. i’m also thinking of painting a sun on my chimney. then again, i’ve been painting the outside of my house for 12 years, it might be time to finish that. well. next summer, i mean.
