clay stuff done
Glazed my goodies earlier this week. Since @songoftheheart wanted to know. I’m trying not to be disappointed. My leaves are blue. You can’t tell. Spouseman said “what are you going to do with that?” I have no idea.

I’m bummed I made the green so dark and that you just can’t tell what I was going for. Sigh. On the other hand, it was fun and it’s cool enough.

Happy Friday.

Well I like it. I think it’s super cool that you can do things like that.
I like especially those leaves.
Nice! I do like them both – glazing can be so hit or miss… The leaves remind me of a mini chip and dip!
i like them, too. the bottom pic looks like our brains. no, i’m not smokin’ anything.
@Bels_Kaylar - I see brains, too! LOL!
I think they are all cool. I used to do some ceramics with a neighbor. It’s addicting. But to create something of your own is a whole new ballgame! I love it!
“Glazed my goodies earlier this week.” sorry, but this line just made be giggle.
those are cool
I like it
Those pieces are absolutely gorgeous!
wow !!! very good work. Well, you posted pictures of it on Xanga now, so you definitey did something
very cool
What is this? Is this instead of the paper you are working on? Cool, but surprised…..is this something new for you?
@vexations - i “helped” in a clay camp this summer and got to make some stuff. we didn’t glaze until this week. i really like having my hands in clay. feels much different than having hands on a keyboard.
i will open my file this morning and report on my progress. will that satisfy you, professor?
@godfatherofgreenbay - thanks.
@PocketfulOfDreams - thanks so much. i’m glad i did.
@Shining_Garnet - @SisterMae - thank you!
@PrisonerxOfxLove - thanks so much!
@murisopsis - it’s so fun seeing how it comes out of the kiln.
@buddy71 - and i’m so glad it did. everyone else is so serious.
@songoftheheart - brains. @Bels_Kaylar - now i wanna play plants vs. zombies. i’m done for the day. and you didn’t even know you were encouraging one of my other addictions.
@Grannys_Place - i’m going to see if i can find a safe place for it today. ha. 4 cats, 2 kids and a spouse. who am i kidding?
@lanney - it is super cool that i get to play with clay. super cool.
Glazed goodies are good, art needs no reason to be. I like your brain ball. Great texture. Blue leaves works for me. Nice job carrie. Lets keep glazing those goodies!!
.
Get john to write a poem about them, have them truly glazedglazed
Glazed my goodies….teeheeehee.
You did a REALLY good job ! I especially like the green on the second piece!And the leaves would be a great centerpiece on the table or coffee table =)
Very nice job! I loved working in ceramics, but never made anything from scratch like that, all mine were molded items.
I like the leaves even if they’re not green. But I am easily impressed because the only sculpturing I ever did was with Play-Doh lol.
Very unique designs. Well done!
@longshadow618 - glazedglazed. that’s very funny. my brain ball (bowl) doesn’t hold water.
@Want2FitIn2Fat2Fit - centerpiece. that’s funny too. i put it on the piano. nobody touches that except me.
@moniet - these are really both molded items. the leaves are pressed leaves. and the bowl was made inside another bowl. so. not hard to do.
@leaflesstree - i can’t stand the smell of playdough. isn’t that bizarre?
@RestlessButterfly - thank you.
Cool bowl! Sorry it doesn’t hold water but you could use it for other things.
@Broom_Service - i’m sure it will hold dust just fine.
@promisesunshine - i commented from my phone and it duplicated the glaze. leaky brain bowl, irony or something more telling?
@longshadow618 - just going to giggle over here in the corner.
I love the leaves. It would look absolutely awesome in the center of my glass dining room table. Perhaps with colorful life savers in it. The 2nd one made me think of the human brain. Don’t ask, that’s just where my brain went with the image and I see now, I’m not the only one. Whew!!
. I think it’s neat that you have that energy outlet. Very nice…
@buddy71 -
… yep – my mind went ‘hmmm.’
@MzSilver - nobody else gave a thought to my dirty mind. disappointing, really. just need to figure out how to get those leaves from here to there.
The purple leaves are beautiful. I have to agree though, “Glazed my goodies” gives the wrong IMPRESSION here. LOL
@olwd - wrong?
@promisesunshine -
, Ohhhhhohohohoho ok dear.
Wow those are awesome! Did you hand mold them yourself?
@wyckdstorm - the leaves were made pressing leaves. and the bowl was made inside another bowl.
@MzSilver - I thought the same thing !
I like them and am impressed. You have a nice talent here.
frank
@ANVRSADDAY - thanks, frank.
