magic
LLO didn’t get her letter for Mount Nittany Magic School. But that doesn’t bother the people in my house. We don’t need a letter to avoid reality. This is Spawn’s drawing of LLO in the halls of the magic school. I think I could stare at this all day. She has captured the wild creature that is LLO: the straggly hair, the skort that she wears every day, even that shirt which has history. I feel the energy of my kid in this drawing. I wonder if anyone else can, or if that’s just in my head?
I love that owl too. Something about it. Aside from it being a pretty good drawing of an owl, (yes?) I feel like it represents freedom. Purposeful soaring. Like those walls aren’t really there.
My kids are pretty swell. They’re making me old, though.

I love this.
Of course your kids are making you old. That’s what kids do–phase you out and replace you.
Is this Henry Potter stuff? I have no idea. I want to go to a magic school. I watch Charmed everynight before I go to sleep – been doing that since I discoverd the show in 2005 and then bought the series. It’s not just in your head, I can see it too. The picture isn’t perfect (close though), but the energy is definately there – it’s palpable.
@runisom48 - thanks. nice to see you! yes, harry potter.
@lanney - well, that explains why they are so much MORE than me.
That is a pretty darn good drawing! What a creative mind.
It’s a great drawing. She has talent. I think it’s very cool that she is drawing LLO. Hang in there. You’re doing just fine.
oh my goodness, spawn is talented. that is a capture of LLO for sure. looking at that hair she drew, the whole body…just says this is my creative sister doing her wild thing. the love can be felt from spawn to LLO. gotta save this pic. : )
Reality, at times, should be avoided. If only the voices in my head would just shut up…
You have creative, smart and adorable children, you know, the kind that make life both interesting and maddening.
@vexations - what’s that japanese curse? may you live in interesting times? but really i would hate to be bored.
@Zoz36 - reality. dirty word here.
@be_the_rain - i knew you’d like that.
@songoftheheart - it made my day
@whyzat - she amazes me.
Oh my that’s a great drawing!!! It has so much energy indeed but also a lot of symbolism in there, amazing art work!!!
Please congratulate your Spawn cuz she has lots of talent
@xXxlovelylollipop - i will. thanks. now i have to figure out that word and date on the wall. i didn’t see it before.
@promisesunshine - it’s really detailed I bet you con find more stuff hidding on it, I love it, I really love it ^-^
this is a really good drawing. she has talent. : )
@plantinthewindow - yea. i thought so. they both like to draw. no idea where they got that.
awesome drawing
very cool and somehow reassuring. very, actually. peace to mother sunshine
skillz in magic and art?
wow, that’s a super-fantastic drawing!! There has never been a time in my life when I could draw something like that.
I agree with @be_the_rain . The love is very evident in this drawing. In channeling her sister’s spirit for this drawing, that’s the energy I feel.
@ordinarybutloud - me neither, girlfriend. i can do far out squiggleys though.
@longshadow618 - apparently so.
@Bels_Kaylar - very. a glimmer of it.
@godfatherofgreenbay - i’ll pass that along.
@distractedbyzombies - yea, i felt that too. now if only she’d stop bossing her around.
what an awesome drawing! she is definitely talented!
Wow! She’s good! How old is she?
@WakeUpLaughing - thanks!
@Ampbreia - she’s 15. she’s taking a drawing class this semester.
@promisesunshine - I hope she finds a way to use all this talent in her future career. It would be a shame to waste it.
@Ampbreia - there’s been talk of art teacher. (but there’s been all kindsa talk over the years)
Young artist in the house..
I love the details! Nicely done. Tell your daughter I think she rocks..
@armnatmom - thanks
Wow, neat drawing, I’m impressed. Not that that means anything, since I’m not an art expert or anything.
You should be like my aunt. Last year I turned 30, but my aunt has been 29 for as long as I’ve been alive. Her 50th birthday party had custom M&M’s that said “Joan’s 29th!” I pointed this disparity out to her, and she explained that, even though us kids (her nieces, nephews, and now grand-nieces and nephews) keep getting older, she does not age. So she will be 29 even when I’m 70. Doesn’t seem fair, but that’s life.
I love the art work. It is really excellent. My wife is a water color artist. I love her stuff.
frank
@ANVRSADDAY - have you shared? because i love watercolors.
@leaflesstree - i lie about my age all the time. doesn’t mean that i’m not old.
Fantastic drawing. Very gifted.
Wow! Wow! Wow! That daughter has some mad skillz with the pencil! I hope you will nurture that talent and enroll her in an art class/painting/drawing class this summer. I have a friend that is the art department chair at the HS here and she adores students that have been identified early and given opportunities to flex their creative muscles… She has several that won congressional art awards this year!
wow! i love the lines and the strokes here. She has great talent obviously.
@murisopsis - wow. that’s amazing. thanks for you kind words.
@ZSA_MD - thanks. @awoolham - thanks
Very talented and I hope she decides on an education in art and a career in it also.
Let those with the magical imaginations run wild, for without them the world would be a dull place for sure.
@Grannys_Place - we’ll see where the wind blows her. if i hang around here as long as some people do, you all will find out.
@enderwigginsx - imagination is a grand thing. i thrive in that land. i like to say your name. can’t decide if you should be a butler or a hobbit. (whew. sorry. i need coffee)
Lots of energy =)
@enderwigginsx - I wish I ‘d said that..!!!!
I like it too.
