Christmas Tree Photos
We finally got around to slaying our tree on Sunday. Three quarters of the family was irritated. Spawn claimed she was sick and didn’t want to go. She recovered remarkably well as soon as we finished the expedition. Littleloudone was annoyed that I didn’t agree to buy the half dead tree that was too big. Instead we got the fully alive tree that was too big. Sunday was a gorgeous day in spite of us all.

So here are some pictures of it all decorated because some people claim to care.

This little orna**ment right there above the stars (if I did it right) is the one our smart cat greeted like a long lost friend. This is her favorite to play with. I haven’t had to rehang it yet, but the season is just beginning.

And here’s a moody dark one just because

And here’s littleloudone from two years ago. How can you not love this picture? (yes, her mouth is always open)

I only accidentally broke 3 of the ugly ornaments that my mo-in-law made me take from the spouse’s childhood.

heheh…you said accidentally.
these are great and i thank you very much for sharing them.
and yes, if photographic evidence is to be trusted, littleloudone is aptly-named.
@complicatedlight - of course, accidentally. you are welcome.
Aww, cute. That reminds me of the trees we had when I was little. We always hunted our own, too, and once we accidentally brought home a bird. Very messy, but highly entertaining.
@lanney - well, that is interesting. we have never brought home bonus animals. although littleloudone was desperate to catch a free kitten. which was so not happening.
@promisesunshine - Aww, kittens are precious! The only trouble is, they keep turning into cats.
@lanney - we currently have a kitten. and 3 other cats. enough is a freaking nuff.
@promisesunshine - Ha! I can imagine!
i like you more and more with each post
lovely tree…I got mine tonight. I pulled it out of my basement and I thought it was easier than marching out in the forest to saw one down but then I breathed in some cobwebs and spent most of the night wheezing and sucking on an inhaler because I was having constant asthma attacks.
@godfatherofgreenbay - i want to laugh, but…honestly, matt.
@complicatedlight - it’s an artificial tree, I didn’t grow it in my basement
@godfatherofgreenbay - whew. at least we’re safe on THAT count. but i still want to laugh. is that wrong?
@complicatedlight - by all means, go ahead…won’t be the first time someone has laughed at my misfortune and maybe if you laugh some female will take pity on me because at this point in life I’m banking on pity.
@godfatherofgreenbay - dude, you know why i think you’re awesome? BECAUSE YOU ARE.
and hilarious. you’re that too. and why the hell you ain’t got no woman just loving you all over all the time is one of those confounding mysteries of the universe that…well, let’s just say that even science has yet to unravel it.
got it? good.
What a lovely tree, so lively
your kid is hilarious and cute! And your tree is awesome. Mine is fake. But well-lit. And filled with shatterproof ornaments.
Accidentally? I don’t believe that for half a second. Pretty tree. My Mom texted me a picture of ours. I can’t wait to see it next week. Looked beautiful. It’s weird not being there to pick it out and set it up and decorate it.
what a beautiful Tree … woweeeeeeeeeee….. love it.
@buddy71 - i have no idea how to take that
@roscoes_farm - thanks. glad you like it
@ordinarybutloud - we had a fake tree my whole life and i just put my foot down. because i love that smell and i love raking pine needles until july and dammit i get my way occasionally. as for breakable ornaments, my favorites are well placed.
@onestepcloserto_perfection - sorry, molly. you’ll get there soon and i’m sure they thought of you when they were doing it all.@xXxlovelylollipop - thank you!
@godfatherofgreenbay - i think what @complicatedlight - is trying to say is that you don’t need to play the pity card and that some awesome chick is going to find you and give you another reason to have trouble breathing. sorry to interrupt your little conversation. do carry on.
I didn’t think anyone slayed their own tree anymore. It’s gorgeous. And you only broke 3 of your Mother-in-law’s ornaments. You are the saintly one.
@homealivein45 - it’s one of my favorite family events. (especially with someone else’s family. just kidding. sort of.) littleloudone and i looked at nearly every tree in our little section. we are not well.
and yes, i am a saint. these are the fugliest ornaments ever made.
@promisesunshine - LOL
Getting the Christmas tree creates many fine adventures for many of us. I was stopped and ticketed for have my Christmas tree in the front trunk of my Renault and not having a clear view while driving. My then wife, got out of the car, carried it home (only a few blocks) and I waited for the policeman to write out my ticket which I promptly paid the next morning. How is this relevant to your post? It isn’t. As everyone says now days, “just saying.”
@vexations - it’s a tree story. completely relevant and entertaining.
Beautiful tree!
And in the last sweet photo: YAY!!!!!!!!!!! She’s so cute!!!!!!!!!!
HUGS!
PS…Ha…are you SURE it was an accident?!
@AdamsWomanFell - absolutely. would i break something ugly and obnoxious on purpose?
